Ozarks Technical Community College will host virtual FAFSA Q&A sessions for current and prospective students in December. The sessions, held via Zoom, will give students and their families the opportunity to receive FAFSA filing assistance from an experienced financial aid advisor. The FAFSA, or Free Application for Federal Student Aid, is a form completed by current and prospective college students to determine their eligibility for student financial aid.
Jordan Schreiber, OTC’s director of recruitment, says the virtual sessions were developed in collaboration with local high school counselors. OTC typically hosts FAFSA Frenzy each fall, but the in-person event was canceled due to COVID-19.
“Pandemic or not, the FAFSA has always been a tricky application to submit without the right resources or support in place,” Schreiber said. “Since we can’t host an in-person event this year, we created these drop-in Zoom sessions to support students and their families as they complete the process.”
OTC’s FAFSA Q&A sessions will be held at the following dates and times:
Tuesday, Dec. 8
Thursday, Dec. 10
11 a.m. to noon
Monday, Dec. 14
Wednesday, Dec. 16
