Have you ever wanted to trek amongst the ancient ruins of Machu Picchu, walk the Inca’s Sacred Valley or visit the famed Chan Chan archaeological site? OTC students have their chance May 18-28, 2020, when OTC’s Study Abroad class visits Peru. Students will have the opportunity to earn college credits by seeing actual historical sites and encountering another fascinating culture.

Before boarding the plane

Students will need to register for History 298 – Study Abroad for the spring semester. This 16-week online Canvas course on the history of Peru is taught by history instructor and trip leader, Jessica Gerard. Students who enroll in the course must attend two pre-trip meetings. A daily journal of the trip is also required, which allows students to record what they experience in Peru in preparation to write a four-to-six page paper on Peruvian history and the sights seen on the trip.
