OTC Fine Arts presents “Almost, Maine”

Ozarks Technical Community College’s Fine Arts Department will present the romantic comedy “Almost, Maine” next month at the Springfield Art Museum. Performances will be held Nov. 20-23 at 7 p.m. and Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. The show is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Patrons are encouraged to reserve their seats in advance through Eventbrite.

Written by John Cariani, “Almost, Maine” is a series of short plays about relationships and the human heart. The characters, driven by the magical energy of the northern lights, navigate the intricacies of friendship, love and heartbreak together.

“This production is a perfect blend of humor and drama,” said Jon Herbert, director. “At times, it’s quite realistic, but it can also be a bit absurd. Every scene has that element of sentimental magic for the audience to appreciate and enjoy.”
