A new sign announcing Ozark Technical Community College’s sponsorship of the eagle exhibit at Dickerson Park Zoo was revealed at a rainy news conference today, April 28.
“We are thrilled OTC is partnering with the Friends of the Zoo education department to help share the message of eagle conservation, and we are excited to share the zoo with OTC students and staff during a special OTC Weekend June 26 and 27,” said Zoo Director Mike Crocker.
OTC employees and students with a college ID will gain free admission to the zoo during the special weekend. They can also bring up to four guests at half price.
For OTC, the sponsorship of the eagle exhibit is an opportunity to enhance awareness of the college’s eagle mascot and support the zoo’s education efforts.
“A few years ago, we incorporated the eagle mascot in more of the college’s marketing and outreach efforts,” said Mark Miller, college spokesperson. “We are proud to partner with Friends of the Zoo to emphasize that brand association and enhance eagle conservation.”
