OTC students have a new online tool to help plan and monitor progress to graduation and program completion. Starting March 1, 2022, uAchieve degree audit is available to show learners exactly what they’ve accomplished in their academic or training journey at OTC, and what remains. Clear graphics, specific information and easy access through the myotc.edu website make it simpler than ever for students to assess and prepare for their future.
“When our students speak, we listen. And a clear, accessible way to understand course requirements and progress has been high on their list,” commented Scott Fiedler, OTC’s registrar. “We’re happy to introduce uAchieve to empower students and smoothe their path to success.” Fiedler’s team spent more than a year preparing to implement the program, taking care to make it a truly “one-stop” resource for students and would-be learners. They have included friendly instructional videos that help users and answer common questions.
The fully integrated tool meets multiple needs. Already enrolled and taking classes at any of OTC’s six campuses or via OTC Online? The degree audit shows exactly what courses have been taken, how many credit hours earned and what studies are needed. Curious about a new degree or certificate? Use uAchieve’s degree planner to view the requirements. With this knowledge, it’s easy to have a conversation with one of OTC’s Navigators about the best next step. “Our mission is to help students succeed at OTC and beyond,” Fiedler concluded. “Connecting people and information to eliminate obstacles is what we do.”
