Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner, the president and CEO of Phi Theta Kappa, will give the commencement address at Ozarks Technical Community College’s graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 17 at 6 p.m. The event will be held at JQH Arena on the Missouri State University Campus. In addition to all graduates and their families, the public is invited to attend.
Phi Theta Kappa is the largest honor society in higher education with 1,285 chapters internationally. Dr. Tincher-Ladner is the third leader of organization, which celebrates its centennial in 2018. Dr. Tincher-Ladner also serves as an ex-officio member of the Phi Theta Kappa Board of Directors and as Secretary to the Phi Theta Kappa Foundation Board of Trustees. She joined the Phi Theta Kappa staff in 2012 as the Chief Information and Research Officer, and later served as Interim Executive Director until receiving the permanent appointment as President and CEO in 2016 by the Phi Theta Kappa Board of Directors.
Dr. Tincher-Ladner has served more than 25 years in higher education in the areas of instruction, information technology and research. She has consulted with colleges throughout the country on areas such as strategic planning, accreditation, economic impact, information technology, institutional research and student advisement.
Dr. Tincher-Ladner holds a Ph.D. in Education Leadership from Mississippi State University and both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Southern Mississippi. She is an honorary member of the Omicron Alpha Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa and has been recognized for her work in higher education by the League of Innovation, the Southern Association of Community College Research, and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
Dr. Tincher-Ladner serves on the graduate faculty for the School of Education at Mississippi State University and is a member of the Center for Community College Student Engagement National Advisory Board, America’s Promise College National Advisory Board, and the Woodward Hines Education Foundation’s Get2College Advisory Council. She is a regular presenter of innovative research and insights on student success at national conferences such as the American Association of Community Colleges, Achieving the Dream, the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development, and the League for Innovation.
