Ozarks Technical Community College students competing at the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference earned three bronze medals. The event was held June 19-23 in Atlanta, Ga.

OTC sent 27 students to the competition, including five high school students. The three medalists were:
- Brennan McNabb, a 2008 graduate of Republic High School, won a Bronze Medal in Diesel Technology. Brennan has a general education degree from OTC and is now pursuing associate degrees in diesel and automotive technology.
- The team of Apollo Rook and Will VanHook won Bronze Medals for Television Production. Rook is a 2021 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School. VanHook graduated from Camdenton High School in 2022.

The 2023 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference was the largest in history. More than 15,000 people attended the event, with more than 6,500 students competing in 110 events.
