Ozarks Technical Community College student group Politically Active will host “Springfield Votes” on March 20. The event will allow voters to meet with all candidates running for the Springfield School Board in the April 2 election. “Springfield Votes” will run from 5-7:30 p.m. in the Robert W. Plaster Center for Advanced Manufacturing on the OTC Springfield Campus.
“This is a non-partisan event to help the public decide who will lead Springfield Public Schools,” said Robert-Thomas (R.T.) Gumersell, OTC Politically Active president. “Voters will have an opportunity to move around the room and chat with all the candidates.”
The candidates for the SPS School Board will appear on the ballot as follows:
- Danielle Kincaid
- Landon McCarter
- Susan Provance
- Scott Crise
- Kyler Sherman-Wilkins
- Chad Rollins
- Maryam Mohammadkhani
Voters will choose three candidates. School board members serve three-year terms.
The “Springfield Votes” event is free and open to the public.
The Robert W. Plaster Center for Advanced Manufacturing is located at the corner of National Avenue and Chestnut Expressway.
