New and returning Ozarks Tech students will have an opportunity to register for courses for a full year ahead beginning Tuesday, March 25, when the college officially opens enrollment for its summer and fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters.
The “Save Your Seat, Plan Your Year” enrollment initiative was piloted for the first time last spring, and was embraced by students seeking to schedule a year’s worth of courses rather than a single semester. More than 5,400 students registered for classes within the first week.
Ozarks Tech – the only community college in the state of Missouri to offer this expanded enrollment option – launched the opportunity to give students more long-term clarity about their course schedules, financial aid needs, and timeline for graduation.
“Our students carry many responsibilities in addition to attending college and needed this kind of planful approach to make their lives easier and more predictable,” said Ozarks Tech Chancellor Hal Hidgon. “This full-year enrollment model was a dramatic improvement in our process. We pride ourselves on creating innovative models for the benefit of our students and I’m proud of our faculty and staff for their vision and action.”
The enrollment systems open at 12:01 a.m. on March 25. To get started:

  • Returning Ozarks Tech students can enroll in courses by going to myOTC to self-enroll or to schedule an appointment with their college navigator.
  • New Ozarks Tech students should fill out an application by going to apply.otc.edu, calling (417) 447-6900 or emailing explore@otc.edu. The acceptance process is fast, and students can often enroll quickly. There is no fee to apply.

With six locations across Southwest Missouri, the college will also be hosting basketball-themed “Registration Madness” events in late March and early April. Stop by these Ozarks Tech locations to register for courses and be entered to win prizes, including one grand prize of a new iPad. All students who register for courses online or in-person from March 25 through April 7 are eligible.
