Paramedicine Program students in the ambulance simulator at OTC.

Ozarks Technical Community College will offer the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) course at the Lebanon center beginning in the summer of 2021. Currently, OTC offers EMT training at its Springfield and Table Rock locations.

The EMT course at Lebanon begins June 1, and classes will be held from noon-4 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In the fall of 2021, the Lebanon center will offer the EMT course on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5-9 p.m.

Students learn how to treat ill or injured patients, resuscitation, trauma care, and patient transport along with other emergency medical procedures.

The seven-credit-hour EMT course is one of the prerequisites required for admission to OTC’s paramedic program. The college hopes to offer paramedic training at the OTC Lebanon Center in the fall of 2022.
