Sync your OTC email to your phone
Nobody cares about email … except for, well, pretty much everyone that is on campus to help you succeed with college. You’ll receive emails from your Student Success Navigator (the person who helps you book classes and leta you know if there are any problems), the people who disperse your financial aid and all your instructors. It’s the easiest way for you to keep up with important campus news and to communicate with people at OTC. Follow these step-by-step instructions to sync your OTC email to your iPhone or Android.
Sign up for emergency text alerts
Do you want to know if there’s a chance to stay home in your pajamas and do absolutely nothing because it’s a SNOW DAY? Get our text alerts! Texts cover everything from class cancellations and campus closings to severe weather alerts and security incidents. Sign up to receive emergency text messages at otc.edu/text.
Get Canvas support when you need it
Get by with a little help from your Canvas friends. Bring your Canvas-related questions and e-text access issues to IC 104 for one-on-one help, if you’re on the Springfield campus. You also can email online@otc.edu for support.
Visit the PC Repair Clinic
If you don’t plan to write your term papers on papyrus … having a working laptop really helps. Visit the PC Repair Clinic, Plaster Center for Manufacturing Room 227, on the OTC Springfield Campus. The clinic can tackle all sorts of computer problems, including broken or cracked LCD screens, viruses, slow performance, data backup and recovery and more. For more information, call 447-8113 or email pcrepairclinic@otc.edu.
Download Office 365 for free
That’s right, FREE. As an OTC student, you literally have free access to Office 365. Click here to download your copy.
Print … for free
Every OTC student gets to print up to 500 pages free per semester at any of the computer labs (all OTC locations). More free stuff!
Bookmark calendar.otc.edu
Speaking of free stuff, if you like free ice cream, free t-shirts and a heads-up about all the fun activities an Eagle can handle … then bookmark OTC’s event calendar! It covers everything: back-to-school Eagle Days events, fall and spring picnics, student showcases, OTC Fine Arts performances and more. Less fun, but very helpful — you can also visit this page for important dates for registration, grades, days the college is closed and more. Here’s the link: calendar.otc.edu/events.
