In a noteworthy nod to the health of its professional environment, confidence in its leadership, and overall employee satisfaction, Ozarks Technical Community College earned the distinguished Honor Roll status in the 2023 listing of Great Colleges to Work For.
The listing, produced yearly by the national Great Colleges to Work For® program, ranks colleges nationwide. OTC is the only institution in Missouri and one of only 42 schools nationally to make the Honor Roll list.
Honor Roll status is awarded to the nation’s top institutions based on excellence across multiple performance classifications. OTC received distinguishing scores in seven out of 10 categories, including:
- Job Satisfaction and Support
- Compensation and Benefits
- Professional Development
- Mission and Pride
- Supervisor/Department Chair Effectiveness
- Confidence in Senior Leadership
- Faculty and Staff Well-being
“This is a satisfying recognition for OTC,” said Chancellor Hal Higdon. “Our college is an institution that values the needs and contributions of all employees. Everyone at OTC makes this a great place to work.”
The survey results are based on a two-part assessment process: an institution questionnaire that captures employment data and workplace policies from each institution and a survey administered to faculty, administrators and professional support staff. Notably, employee feedback is the primary factor in deciding whether an institution receives recognition.
The Great Colleges to Work For® program is one of the country’s largest and most respected workplace-recognition programs.
