Ozarks Technical Community College’s Career Services will host an outdoor job fair on Wednesday, August 5 from 9 a.m. to noon in Lot K of the OTC Springfield Campus. The parking lot is located at the northeast corner of Central Street and Hampton Avenue. The job fair is free and open to the public. Physical distancing and masks will be required of all participants.

In an effort to help individuals prepare for the upcoming job fair, OTC Career Services will also host an outdoor resume review event on Wednesday, July 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. Located on the driveway in front of the OTC Bookstore at the Springfield campus, the event will give job seekers the opportunity to receive constructive feedback on their resumes and cover letters.

These events replace the college’s previously scheduled job fair in April, which was canceled due to COVID-19. OTC’s annual job fair attracts dozens of local employers and hundreds of jobseekers each year.

“With unemployment rates at an all-time high, job seekers need events like our annual job fair more than ever before,” said Lacey Busick, OTC career advisor. “By hosting these events outside with the space to physically distance, we can offer that same help, but in a safe and responsible way.”

More than a half dozen local employers will be in attendance at OTC’s outdoor job fair including Arc of the Ozarks, Bass Pro Shops, CoxHealth and O’Reilly Auto Parts. Job seekers should dress as they would for an interview and bring several copies of their resume to the event.

Participants do not need to register in advance for either event hosted by OTC Career Services. For more information about OTC’s outdoor job fair or resume review event, please email careerservices@otc.edu.
