In the spring of 2019, Fort Leonard Wood military personnel and their families gained access to new educational opportunities thanks to an agreement with Ozarks Technical Community College. OTC is now accepting enrollment for the summer and fall classes to be held at the Truman Education Center on the Fort Leonard Wood military base.
This summer, the college will offer four courses at Fort Leonard Wood in the following subjects: early childhood development, English, political science and psychology. This fall, the college will expand its offerings to include courses in communications, education, history, math and sociology.
“The OTC Waynesville Center has a rich history of serving military personnel,” said Dr. Rosalind Pride, director of the OTC Fort Leonard Wood Center. “Now, we look forward to providing our service men and women with even more accessible educational opportunities on base.”
With its close proximity to Fort Leonard Wood, a majority of OTC Waynesville Center students are active-duty military, veterans or dependents. Much like the Waynesville center, OTC courses at Fort Leonard Wood will be open to all students, including civilians.
A complete list of courses offered at the Fort Leonard Wood military base can be found at otc.edu/schedules. Interested individuals may contact Dr. Pride at 417-447-6632 or prider@otc.edu with any questions.
OTC’s summer 2019 semester begins the week of June 3 and ends the week of July 22. The fall 2019 semester runs August 19 through December 9. Prospective students can begin the application process at otc.edu/starthere.
