Dr. Hal Higdon is marking his 10th anniversary as chancellor of Ozarks Technical Community College this month and while some people might think they know a lot about Dr. Higdon, there are some secrets he hasn’t revealed … until now.

10 Questions for Chancellor Higdon
What are some of your fondest memories in your time at OTC?
The monthly birthday parties. Each month I visit with a cross section of OTC folks. I am always amazed at the positive attitude and commitment to our students.
What series have you binge-watched on Netflix and what did you like about it?
I tend to watch several at once. I am now watching Bloodline, and I just finished the second season of Marco Polo. Also, I enjoyed Sons of Anarchy and, of course, House of Cards.
What five movies would you take to a desert island?
O’ Brother Where Art Thou, Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, It’s a Wonderful Life, A Christmas Story and The Shawshank Redemption.
What’s your favorite comfort meal?
Chicken Fried Steak, mashed potatoes, black-eyed peas and cherry pie from the Heritage Cafeteria.
What’s your favorite snack food?
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups
What are your top 5 all-time favorites TV shows?
Andy Griffith, Seinfeld, I Love Lucy, The Bob Newhart Show and WKRP in Cincinnati.
What’s your favorite tie color?
Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Take care of the small things and the big things will work out.
