Interested in studying abroad in China? OTC history instructor Jessica Gerard plans to take another group of students across the globe next spring. Since 2008, she’s led five groups of students through China to study its vast culture and history.
Students interested in studying abroad in China may attend one of three informational sessions offered at different OTC locations:
OTC Richwood Valley Campus
Wednesday, Nov. 2
2:30-3:30 p.m.
Room 112
OTC Springfield Campus
Monday, Nov. 7
Noon-1 p.m.
ICW 222
OTC Waynesville Center
Wednesday, Nov. 9
1-2 p.m.
Conference Room
These sessions will provide students with an overview of the trip’s itinerary. Students will also have the opportunity to ask any questions they might have about studying abroad. Prior to the trip, students must complete an online course about the history of China. While abroad, participants are expected to listen to guides, keep a journal and write about their experiences.
