The Ozarks Technical Community College Board of Trustees has a new colleague and welcomes a returning member to the six-person governing body.

Chip Sheppard, an attorney and chairman of the Litigation/Dispute Resolution Practice Group of Carnahan, Evans, Cantwell & Brown, P.C., was sworn in as a board member on Friday, April 11. Sheppard replaces Dr. Maryellen Stratmann, who declined to seek another term on the board. Mr. Sheppard had been on the OTC Foundation Board since 2011.

J. Howard Fisk, who was first elected to the board in 2008, was sworn in on Monday, April 14. Mr. Fisk is the owner of Fisk Limousines, which has been in business for more than 30 years.

“We are pleased to have Mr. Sheppard make the transition from our OTC Foundation to the board. He brings with him a desire to make the college a better place for our students,” said Dr. Hal Higdon, chancellor of Ozarks Technical Community College. “Mr. Fisk has been a very active, involved member of the board who gives his complete attention to the needs of the college and our students.”

Mr. Sheppard is president of the Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association. He received his bachelor’s degree from Missouri State University in 1980 and his law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1983.

Mr. Fisk is a graduate of Missouri State University and serves on more than 25 community and industrial organizations.
