The Springfield Vet Center, an arm of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, will provide readjustment counseling services to eligible veterans and bereaved family members of Ozarks Technical Community College beginning Sept. 10.  The Springfield Vet Center will be open on Wednesday afternoons from 1-4 p.m. at the OTC Springfield Campus.

OTC Counseling Services will introduce the Springfield Vet Center staff at two open-house events on Wednesday, Aug. 27 and Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 1-4 p.m. The sessions will take place at the OTC Springfield Campus in the Farmer Conference Room (located in Information Commons West, room 211).

The open-house sessions will allow OTC students and employees to meet the Springfield Vet Center staff and learn more about the counseling services available to them. Informative presentations will be given during each open-house session from 1-2 p.m. and 3-4 p.m. Snacks and beverages will be provided.

“This is a big win for OTC, its veterans and their families,” said Dennis Peters, OTC veteran services representative. “OTC typically enrolls more than 1,000 veterans each semester – we want to do everything in our power to ensure their educational success and overall wellbeing.”
