Car enthusiasts will learn how to restore classics this summer at Ozarks Technical Community College’s Center for Workforce Development. The Classic Car Restoration course is a four-week class that begins on Monday, July 7 and runs through Thursday, July 31. The class meets from 5-9 p.m. and meets Monday-Thursday. Cost for the class is $649 per student and the entire class is hands-on. Students will get to work on a 1960s classic muscle car that was donated to the college. The class will touch on all areas of cosmetic restoration from interior to bodywork. “Our Classic Car Restoration Workshop provides training on the skills necessary to turn your project into a classic work of art and is designed for students with a passion for classic and muscle car restoration,” said Reggie Hoskins, operations manager for the OTC Center for Workforce Development. The course also emphasizes the history and tradition behind classic car restoration, while also teaching students more about today’s modern automotive technologies that will assist them in their restoration projects. Registration is available by calling (417) 447-8888.
