OTC’s Supervision and Leadership Online Program Receives HRCI Certification

Ozarks Technical Community College has been certified as an approved continuing education provider for its professional development Supervision and Leadership online program.

The Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI), an internationally recognized leader in HR certification, made the certification. HRCI is a partner of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). The certificate is offered online through OTC Online’s eLearning Outreach office and the College’s Community Enrichment Center.

Vanessa Germeroth, assistant director of eLearning Outreach at OTC, said anyone in a management, supervisory, or leadership role can benefit from this training opportunity. HR professionals seeking HRCI accreditation are required to complete 60 professional development credits from approved providers every three years, and HR professionals can earn as many as 72 recertification credits through the Supervision and Leadership online program.

“This program offers an affordable, accessible way to satisfy recertification requirements and to gain knowledge in several supervision and leadership topics,” Germeroth said.

OTC’s Supervision and Leadership certificate includes courses focused on effective communication, leadership, ethics, team-building and performance management. 

The 72-credit hour certificate can be completed in as little as 12 weeks and at about half the price of comparable programs. 

As an added benefit, the course CEB 704: Ethics and Business Integrity is approved for separate HRCI Strategic Business Management credit, and any of the Supervision and Leadership courses can be taken as stand-alone (non-certified) training opportunities.
