OTC hosts Veterans Day events at Springfield and Table Rock campuses

Ozarks Technical Community College will host two Veterans Day events on Tuesday, Nov. 11 to honor veterans and their families. The OTC Springfield Campus event begins at 11 a.m. in the Jared Family Atrium of the Information Commons building. The event at the OTC Table Rock Campus in Hollister begins at 4 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center.

“OTC has nearly 1,000 veterans in our student body,” said Dr. Hal Higdon, chancellor of Ozarks Technical Community College. “We want to honor our students for the sacrifices they have made for our country and publicly thank all veterans for the work they do to ensure our freedom.”

Both events will feature guest speakers, musical performances and refreshments. Veterans and their families will also have the opportunity to pay tribute to fallen service men and women through OTC’s interactive memorial titled “Flag of the Fallen.”
