Youngblood Auto Group has presented the OTC Foundation, the fundraising arm of Ozarks Technical Community College, with a gift of tools and equipment valued at more than $175,000. The donated items will be used to help train students in the college’s automotive programs.

“We are grateful for the generosity of Youngblood Auto Group, and thankful that we have businesses in our community that recognize the value of investing in its workforce,” said Dr. Hal Higdon, chancellor of Ozarks Technical Community College. “This gift will help to better prepare our automotive students for their careers in the automotive industry.”

The gift from Youngblood included fenders, frames, bumpers, steering and suspension parts, air conditioning units, wheels, electrical components, transmissions, and other assorted automotive parts.

“The tools and equipment donated by Youngblood Auto Group are a great example of how area businesses can have a direct impact on the education and training our students receive,” said Cliff Davis, vice chancellor and executive director of the OTC Foundation. “These supplies will enhance the hands-on opportunities for our automotive students, which will help them to be better qualified employees when they finish at OTC.”

Springfield-based Youngblood Auto Group is an area leader in new and pre-owned vehicle sales, financing, service and accessories for Chrysler, Jeep, Kia and Nissan.

The OTC Foundation, now in its 17th year of operation, works to meet the ever-increasing needs of Ozarks Technical Community College through the funding of scholarships, new programs, and capital improvement projects.
