The OTC Foundation, the fundraising arm of Ozarks Technical Community College, has received a gift of $15,000 from Dr. Jerry F. and Shara Cash of Cash Family Orthodontics. The funds will be used to support the dental programs at OTC. A classroom in Lincoln Hall, where the dental programs are housed, has been named the Cash Family Orthodontics Classroom in honor of Dr. Jerry F. and Shara Cash and their daughter, Dr. Tara Cash.
“We appreciate the Cash family and their investment in our dental programs,” said Dr. Hal Higdon, chancellor of Ozarks Technical Community College. “The support of local industry leaders is crucial to the growth and development of our programs, and to the success of our students.”
“Gifts like this one from the Cash family help to instill confidence in our students,” added Cliff Davis, vice chancellor for Institutional Advancement and executive director of the OTC Foundation. “Knowing that those who have had success in their field believe in the training offered at OTC lets the students know that they are in the right place for their careers.”
The OTC Foundation, now in its 14th year of operation, works to meet the ever-increasing needs of Ozarks Technical Community College through the funding of scholarships, new programs, and capital improvement projects. The current Major Gifts Capital Campaign includes efforts to raise money for scholarships, as well as for a Center for Health Education, Student Support programs, and Workforce Development.
