“Washington Post” journalist and host of the podcast series “Constitutional” will be interviewed to commemorate Constitution Day at Ozarks Technical Community College from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 17. OTC Political Science Instructor Andrew Crocker will lead the Skype interview with Cunningham. The event, held at the OTC Springfield Campus in Lincoln 211, is free and open to the public.
“The ‘Constitutional’ podcast series is 19 episodes long and there is not a weak one in the bunch,” Crocker said. “They all tell rigorously researched stories about some debate at the foundation of the Constitution.”
The “Washington Post” describes the “Constitutional” podcast as a, “…series exploring the Constitution and the people who framed and reframed it – revolutionaries, abolitionists, suffragists, teetotalers, protesters, justices, presidents – in the ongoing struggle to form a more perfect union across a vast and diverse land.”
The host, Lillian Cunningham, also hosted the “Washington Post’s” “Presidential” podcast. Previously, she was a feature writer and editor for the Post’s On Leadership section for which she earned two Emmy Awards.
Constitution Day commemorates the signing of the Constitution in 1787.
