OTC collecting donations until 5 p.m. Thursday for Joplin tornado recovery effort

Ozarks Technical Community College, in partnership with Journal Broadcast Group, is accepting donations from the community to help with the tornado recovery effort in Joplin, Mo., until 5 p.m. today, Thursday, May 26.

Donations of money, non-perishable food, water, household supplies, and more can be brought to the parking lot at the corner of National Avenue and Chestnut Expressway on the College’s Springfield campus, where they will be loaded directly into tractor-trailers from the College’s Transport Training Institute for transport to Joplin.

As a reminder from the Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management, all donated items must be new.
