Nothing beats being an OTC A+ student when it comes to winning prizes.

Three OTC students were among the seven who won prizes in the Missouri Lottery’s “Tools 4 Schoo”l promotional drawing announced this week.

The grand-prize winner was Dylan Hall of Nixa, who won $2,500.

One of the first-prize winners was Lindsey Bilyeu of Chadwick, who won $1,000 and Jacob Shoemaker of Springfield won a second-prize award of $400.

The students entered the contest between Feb. 24 and March 12 and the winners were picked randomly. Each had to write a short essay on how the A+ program helps them.

“Thanks to A+, I am able to attend OTC and not have to worry about anything except books, which allows me to save up my extra earnings to put towards my 4-year college fund,” Dylan wrote.
