The official federal census numbers are in for the summer 2011 semester, and the Ozarks Technical Community College system has grown once again. A total of 4,730 students enrolled this summer, up 8.6 percent from the summer of 2010.
“More and more students are taking advantage of the summer semester, using every opportunity to move their education forward,” said Dr. Hal Higdon, president of the College. “Though the distribution of students between our physical locations and online courses has shifted, we are still seeing dramatic growth for the College as a whole.”
The breakout of enrollment among Ozarks Technical Community College’s six locations is indicated in the chart below. However, a total of 2,433 students are taking at least one online class.
The College offers a wide variety of online courses, or students can earn one of five degrees entirely through the OTC Online program.
