Laura French named OTC’s new coordinator of public information

Laura French, former community partners coordinator for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks (BBBSO), has been named the Coordinator of Public Information for Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC). French will share OTC information and news with the general public by writing and distributing news releases and managing the college’s social media accounts.

“We welcome Laura to the OTC family where her energy and skills will be put to use to communicate our story to supporters, business leaders and the public,” said Mark Miller, OTC college director of communications.

Before coming to OTC, French served BBBSO for two years as a fundraiser, event coordinator and spokesperson. She also worked for Springfield Ballet while securing her bachelor’s degree in arts administration from Drury University. French graduated in 2012.

“I look forward to putting my skills to use as we share OTC’s mission of accessible, affordable education,” French said. “OTC’s practical, inexpensive approach to higher education not only benefits its students, but our community and the local economy.”

French was formally approved by the OTC Board of Trustees in May.
