Grant Sloan received the Missouri Community College Association’s News Media Award at the association’s 52nd annual convention held this week in Branson, Mo.
As the reporter in KOLR10’s Branson Bureau, Sloan worked to provide comprehensive coverage of the significant milestones achieved by the Ozarks Technical Community College Table Rock Campus. He covered the community’s recent vote to join the OTC taxing district, the signing of two articulation agreements with local high schools and colleges, and a campus construction project that will expand and enhance the campus’s program offerings.
MCCA’s News Media Award is presented annually to members of the media whose work promotes understanding and appreciation of community colleges and their missions.
The Missouri Community College Association is a statewide organization through which Missouri’s community colleges work together to advance common agendas. MCCA brings the state’s 12 colleges together for advocacy, professional development, information, and collaboration.
