J. Howard Fisk, Ozarks Technical Community College Trustee, and Zachary Zweigle, Lead Instructor for World History and World Geography and Assistant to the Vice Chancellor for Advancement, Student Affairs and Workforce Development at OTC, were elected to the Missouri Community College Association Board of Directors at the recent MCCA annual convention in St. Louis.

He will serve as Trustee Department vice chair for the 2014 session.

A Springfield business owner, Fisk was elected to the OTC Board of Trustees in April 2008 and served as OTC board chair from 2010-2011.

He believes that Ozarks Technical Community College provides southwest Missouri with its most valuable economic development resource: a well-educated and well-trained workforce.

Zweigle holds a Masters degree in history and teaches courses in that subject.  He is completing a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration and is a volunteer search and rescue pilot.

He will serve as Faculty Department chair-elect for the 2014 session.

MCCA’s Board of Directors supports association members’ professional development, provides members with opportunities for networking, and advocates on behalf of community colleges.

The Board is elected by the Associations general membership and includes representatives of each MCCA department: Administrative/Professional, Classified Staff, Faculty, Trustee, and Retired.

MCCA Executive Director Zora Mulligan welcomed all new and returning Board of Director members and is looking forward to a productive agenda for 2014.
