Dr. Hal Higdon, chancellor of Ozarks Technical Community College, has been named one of Ingram’s 2014 50 Missourians You Should Know. The honorees of Ingram’s annual tribute are recognized for careers, companies and core values that transform both local communities and the state of Missouri.


Ingram’s Magazine declares, “Let the record show that Higdon, the second chancellor in the nearly 25-year history of OTC, gets things done.” The article highlights Dr. Higdon’s focus on work-force training and online offerings as well as his expansion of allied health programs. The article praises Dr. Higdon for boosting OTC’s significance with area employers and increasing the college’s enrollment by 44 percent since his arrival.

Dr. Hal Higdon has been chancellor of Ozarks Technical Community College since July of 2006. He came to OTC after 13 years with Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Dr. Higdon holds a degree in business from the University of Alabama and a master’s and doctorate in higher education from the University of Southern Mississippi.


Ingram’s Magazine is based in Kansas City, Mo. and offers business news and information to both Missouri and Kansas.
