Ozarks Technical Community College unveiled its 2015 Excellence in Education award recipients at the college’s annual convocation, held Tuesday, Oct. 13 at the White River Conference Center. Candidates were nominated by staff members and selected by a college-wide committee. Each winner was presented with a plaque and monetary award, made possible by a donation from the Turner Family Foundation.
David Fotopulos and Michael Holik received the Excellence in Education Full Time Instructor award. Fotopolous, a communications instructor at the OTC Richwood Valley Campus, has taught at OTC since 2003. Holik, an OTC alumnus, has been a full time instructor in OTC’s Culinary and Hospitality department for 11 years.
Jennifer Bump received the Excellence in Education Adjunct Instructor award. Bump, an adjunct history instructor, is also the office manager at Wheeler’s Furniture in Springfield, Mo. Bump has taught at OTC since 2013.
Autumn Porter, student services director at the OTC Table Rock Campus, received the Excellence in Education Professional Support Staff award. Porter joined OTC in August 2013 following a career in fundraising and community development.
Matthew Simpson received the Excellence in Education award for administration. Simpson, OTC’s college director of research and strategic planning, joined OTC in 2010 and has earned several awards for research and presentation.
