The Ozarks Technical Community College Center for Workforce Development (CWD) relocated its Business Solutions Team to the Missouri Career Center – Ozark Region, located at 2900 E. Sunshine St. in Springfield. The six-member team moved into its new location in July, and a ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at the career center on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 10:30 a.m.
The move allows OTC’s Center for Workforce Development to collaborate more efficiently with the Missouri Career Center.
“Our team consults with area businesses to provide customizable training to their employees,” said Jim Abramovitz, CWD executive director. “Additionally, we also help individuals gain new skills to become more qualified for a promotion or confidently enter today’s competitive job market. That’s why our collaboration with the career center is so important.”
Missouri Career Center Director Mary Ann Rojas adds, “We have an excellent relationship with OTC and its Center for Workforce Development. While we provide different services, we share the same mission of helping people find gainful employment while providing businesses with a skilled, trained workforce.”
CWD staff will provide tours of the facility after the ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday. For more information about OTC’s Center for Workforce Development, visit otc.edu/workforce.
