Ozarks Technical Community College will mark the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks this week.
Posters signed by OTC students on 9/11 will be on display for public viewing starting Tuesday, Sept. 6 through Friday, Sept. 9 in the Information Commons atrium on the Springfield campus.
The posters were put up at the College by Susan Blakey, assistant director of the Career Center, just shortly after terrorists crashes planes into the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon.
This is the first time the posters have been on display since the attacks 10 years ago.
“The posters were a vehicle of expression. They allow us to see a little of what everybody felt that day.” Blakey said.
In addition to the display, Loren Lundstrom, Assistant Registrar and Director of International Programs at OTC, was in the Pentagon in Washington, D.C., when it was struck by a passenger plane on 9/11. He is available for media interviews. He can be reached at 447-8197.
