Nearly 100 students from Ozarks Technical Community College participated in the Skills USA state competition, held recently on the campus of Linn State Technical College in Linn, Missouri. Seventeen of those students took first place in their skills contest and will continue on to the national competition, to be held in Kansas City in June.
Skills USA, a national organization for high school and college students who are preparing for careers in trade, technical and skilled service occupations, holds competitions each year in a wide variety of skill-based subjects. Approximately 2,200 students from around the state were involved in this year’s events.
