Ozarks Technical Community College (OTC) will host its inaugural Veterans Resource Fair on Friday, June 6 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the OTC Springfield Campus in the Jared Family Atrium.

The fair will feature organizations and institutions that provide much-needed services to local veterans and their families. The event will also honor fallen service men and women at 9:45 a.m. with a ceremonial roll call and the unveiling of an interactive memorial titled “Flag of the Fallen.”

The fair is a drop-in event where military personnel, veterans and their families are encouraged to attend. Approximately 40 organizations will be on hand to provide resources including job and college preparation and healthcare services. Prospective employers seeking to hire veterans will also be in attendance.

“Our goal is to inform our former service men and women of the many resources available to them,” said Dennis Peters, OTC veteran services representative. “With resources spanning Missouri and Arkansas, we’ve created a one-stop-shop to connect our veterans and their families with those who can help secure jobs, healthcare and other benefits.”
