OTC parking lots open to the public for Fireworks at the Field on Saturday, July 2

Two of the parking lots at Ozarks Technical Community College’s Springfield Campus will be available to the community on Saturday, July 2, for viewing of the Fireworks at the Field event at Hammons Field.  The open lots are Lot N, located at the corner of National Avenue and Chestnut Expressway, and Lot C, located at the corner of Sherman Avenue and Chestnut Expressway; both lots are on the south side of the Springfield Campus.  

The Industry and Transportation Technology Center, located on the east side of campus, and the Information Commons West, on the west side of campus, will be open for restroom access.  OTC Safety and Security personnel and Springfield Police officers will be on campus during the event.

No fireworks, grills, outdoor cooking, skateboards, alcohol or tobacco will be allowed on Ozarks Technical Community College property.

The Fireworks at the Field event, sponsored by the Urban Districts Alliance, will include evening fireworks and live performances by RetroGnomes, Little Hoover’s Big Band, Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin and Big Smith.  Other downtown entertainment will include crafts at the Creamery Arts Center, ice-skating at Mediacom Ice Park and activities at the Discovery Center.  For more information, visit www.itsalldowntown.com or call the Urban Districts Alliance at (417) 831-6200.
