The OTC Foundation, the fundraising arm of Ozarks Technical Community College, has received four gifts designated for the new Lebanon Education Center.  Each of the gifts will go directly toward furnishing and equipping the new Center facilities.

Howard and Jan Fisk have given a $25,000 gift to the College and will have a conference room in the new Lebanon Education Center named in their honor.  Mr. Fisk, a Lebanon native, is the owner of J. Howard Fisk Limousine Co. and is the current president of the Ozarks Technical Community College Board of Trustees.

Lebanon business leader Jeff Carr has given $15,000 to the College in honor of his late father, Kenneth Carr.  Jeff Carr is the president of Carmeco, Inc., a business that was started by his father in 1970.  This gift will be recognized with a classroom named for the senior Carr.

Another $15,000 gift has come from an anonymous donor, who will be recognized with the naming of a classroom at the new Center.

Hattie Brown has presented a $10,000 gift for the Lebanon Education Center through the Coca-Cola Bottler’s Foundation.  Brown, senior vice president of the Ozarks Coca-Cola/Dr. Pepper Bottling Company and co-owner of Missouri Eagle, is a member of the OTC Foundation Board of Directors.

The new Lebanon Education Center, a gift from Reuben and Mary Lou Casey of San Clemente, Calif., was presented to Ozarks Technical Community College in December of 2009.  The property is composed of two buildings and more than 13 acres of land, and is valued at approximately $2.6 million, making it the largest gift the College has ever received.  The facilities will be divided into rooms that will eventually become classrooms, offices, computer labs, student spaces and more; classes will be held at the new Lebanon Education Center beginning in the fall of 2011.

The OTC Foundation, now in its 13th year of operation, works to meet the ever-increasing needs of Ozarks Technical Community College through the funding of scholarships, new programs, and capital improvement projects.  The current Major Gifts Capital Campaign includes efforts to raise money for scholarships, as well as for a Center for Health Education, Student Support programs, and Workforce Development.
