SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – John Clayton, college director of research and strategic planning at Ozarks Technical Community College, has been named chair of the Mid-America Association for Institutional Research (MidAIR).
MidAIR is a regional organization of institutional researchers dedicated to improving and disseminating research of concern to institutions of higher education. MidAIR serves Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma, and is an affiliate of the Association of Institutional Research (AIR).
AIR is the world’s largest professional organization for institutional researchers. The association now serves more than 4,000 U.S. members and 160 international members from its executive offices in Tallahassee, Fla.
Clayton, who has been with OTC for nearly five years, will serve as MidAIR’s liaison to AIR and represent it at all meetings and functions during 2014.
Clayton is a graduate of Northwest Missouri State University where he received his bachelors in computer science. He earned his MBA with an emphasis in Management Information Systems at Northwest Missouri in Management Information Systems. He is working toward a doctorate in Instructional Leadership with an emphasis Higher Education Administration at Lindenwood University.
He has nearly 20 years of experience in higher education administration with a primary focus in institutional effectiveness, research and planning.
