Ozarks Technical Community College is accepting donations from the community to help with the tornado recovery effort in Joplin, Mo.  Donations can be brought to the parking lot at the corner of National Avenue and Chestnut Expressway on the College’s Springfield campus, where they will be loaded directly into two tractor-trailers from the College’s Transport Training Institute for transport to Joplin.  Donations of non-perishable food, water, blankets, boxes, and more can be dropped off between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m.

As a reminder from the Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management, all donated items must be new.  The College is working with the Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management for distribution of the donated items.

**Update**

Anyone interested in contributing financially to the Joplin relief effort can bring monetary donations to the Cashier’s Office in the Information Commons, located on the Springfield Campus.  All money collected will be passed on to one of the charitable organizations working to bring help to Joplin.

Those interested in donating blood should contact the Community Blood center of the Ozarks at 227-5000, or visit the CBCO website, cbco.org.
