The Center for Workforce Development at Ozarks Technical Community College will hold an Open House on Tuesday, October 23, from 3 to 7 p.m. The Center for Workforce Development is located at 614 N. Washington Avenue in Springfield.

Highlights of the event will include interactive demonstrations of emergency transportation simulators, plus opportunities to learn about the center’s state-of-the-art equipment for training area healthcare professionals. Additionally, the staff and instructors of the Center for Workforce Development will be on hand to answer questions about their programs, equipment and facilities.

The Open House will showcase new training programs benefitting businesses and organizations in southwest Missouri. Many of the programs to be featured have been made possible by funds from the state Training for Tomorrow and MOHealthWINS programs, as well as by grants from the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.

Staffed by experienced trainers and consultants, the Center for Workforce Development offers customized training designed to develop businesses and enhance the local workforce. The Center provides a variety of training options, including courses in lean manufacturing, management development, and quality and process improvement, as well as computer and technical workshops. In addition, the Center operates the Transport Training Institute and is an authorized OSHA Training Institute provider.
