Together with the Ozarks Literacy Council, Ozarks Technical Community College’s Adult Education and Literacy program will offer a free, no-obligation training in using the Laubach method of teaching adults on Saturday, October 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The training session will be held at the OTC Springfield Campus in room 220 of Graff Hall, located at the corner of Chestnut Expressway and Sherman Avenue.

This training will enable a volunteer to assist with tutoring in basic reading skills, speaking English as a Second Language or preparing for the GED. Session participants will be qualified to volunteer with either Ozarks Technical Community College or the Ozarks Literacy Council.

Application and pre-registration are required by October 25. To sign up or for more information, contact Kathy Pinkley at the Ozarks Literacy Council at (417) 837-3810, or Kathy Funk at Ozarks Technical Community College at (417) 447-8865.
